Absentee Bids
It is not always possible for people to be present for an auction and they can in turn send us their Absentee Bids in the prescribed format subject to certain terms and conditions.
Absentee Bids
can be sent by registered users only. New clients will need to register with us before they can bid.

are held in the strictest confidence.

Absentee Bidders
are subject to the Conditions of Sale as mentioned in the catalogue.
Absentee Bids
can be sent either via the online Bid Form or by sending the Postal Bid Form via post or email or fax. Or simply by writing to us with your registration details and lots desired.
Bids must be returned to us at your earliest convenience, as bids are processed on
“first come, first served”
basis. Hence where two bids are received for the same amount, the bidder whose bid arrived first will get preference over the subsequent bidder.
Each bid must clearly state the lot number and the maximum price willing to be paid, exclusive of Buyers Premium and Taxes.
The
Absentee Bidder
should give their maximum bid amount for a lot and the auctioneer would bid for the
Absentee Bidder
against other bidders present on the floor and try and procure the item for the minimum possible amount. For instance a lot with a Start Price of Rs 1100 will be sold to an
Absentee Bidder
for Rs 1100 even if his maximum bid is Rs 1500 in case there is no competition on the floor.
Todywalla Auctions confirms receipt of all
Absentee Bids
, however if you do not receive a confirmation please do get in touch with us immediately as we may not have received the
Absentee Bids
sent by you. However, non confirmation of Absentee Bids is no grounds for
Absentee Bidders
to reject lots.
Bidders should confirm their bid receipts with the auctioneer, the auctioneer cannot be held responsible if they do not receive your
Absentee Bids
.
Bid increment is normally in multiples of 100s and request
Absentee Bidders
to keep their bids to the nearest multiple of Rs100, “odd” amount bids like Rs 1111 will be treated as Rs 1100 and will be rounded at our discretion to the nearest actual bid.
Successful bidders will be notified at the earliest and full and final payment is expected within 7 days of receipt of invoice by you, subject to the Conditions of Sale as mentioned in the catalogue.
Lots won and paid for will be forwarded by speed post or courier and all costs including insurance will be added to the original invoice.
